A long, long time time ago (uhhm, actually it’s just 7 years ago), in a land far, far away (come to think of it, it’s not that far, it’s just around the corner where there’s a naked man with outstretched arms, face looking at the sky), a princhecha named Fiona Wilhelmina Camilla went with her (yes, her talaga?!) friends to watch them practice a dance for the ball (it’s actually a final requirement for a Street Dance class but since this is a fairy tale methinks it’s more appropriate to use "the ball". Hihihi. Anyway, why do I keep on explaining? It just pads the story! Anyhoo, whatever, back to the tale.).
That was when she first laid eyes on him. ‘Hmmm, he’s cute. And a good dancer too! But a bit of a snob.’
Later on she learned that his name is Princhepe Jimboi and that he too is majoring in Arithmancy. ‘Good’, she figured that since only a small number of princhechas and princhepes take Arithmancy, she’s bound to see him around. She even thought of inviting him to join the Circle of Arithmancer, of which she is a member. But thinking that princhechas shouldn’t make the first move, she didn’t.
Luckily, he ended up signing up for CoA anyway - much to the delight of Fiona. ‘At least now we have a chance to get closer. We could even be friends.’
At first, you couldn’t exactly say that they were close, much more friends. He was close to Fiona’s friends but to her he was a little aloof. ‘Heck. Oh well, at least I get to see him. And get to talk to him a few times even if he seems remote.’
(Jimboi later told Fiona why he was a little distant. He does not like gregarious folks, and Fiona being vivacious, he was a little uncomfortable with her. ‘It’s just his excuse. I think he likes me, he just doesn’t want to show’.)
A few boring chapters after, they began hitting it off. Soon enough they became close. And this, ladies and gents, is the beginning of theirstory.
(to be continued...)
